I’ve had some disastrous make up moments, where I’ve crossed all limits by wearing foundation, lipstick, kajal, basically every make up product that I can think of, all at once! So if I could go back in time and give myself some make up advice, this would be it! I love, love BB creams.

They are a great alternative to applying foundation, moisturiser and a concealer. So take a small amount and apply it onto your face. I’m using the BB cream from Maybelline New York. It has SPF 21. And any product that has more than SPF 20 is great for our weather here.

On days when it’s too hot and humid outside, I set my BB Cream with a Dream Satin Compact Powder for extra coverage. So applying a neutral shade of eyeshadow is the way to go. It gives you so many options and you can just keep it on all day so that your eyes aren’t just bare and you don’t need pro skills to pull this off! You can also play around with coloured eye pencils or draw dramatic winged liners over this.

I wish I knew this before, because I have a bunch of photos, where my eyes look pretty horrible. For those of you who think it’s a never ending challenge to get your wings right, trust me it’s really not! Stick a small piece of scotch tape diagonally on the outer corner of your lid.

Take your favourite liner and draw out the shape of your wing along the upper edge of the tape. I like to use a felt tip liner with a fine tip like the Colossal black liner. It’s super easy to use and control, and I love the deep black colour that it delivers.

Mascaras have been my ultimate saviour. They add a lot of definition to your eyes and amplify your entire look. As for lipsticks, I like wearing bright colours like pinks and corals. Also, if red is your go-to colour, then dab some onto your lips to give you a tint effect.

They’re easy to pull off and pretty slick. One last pro tip I’d like to share with you about makeup products is that you can always use them in multiple ways. And you can always make the most of the products you already own.

So for example, you can use your lipstick as a blush, or your eyeshadow to fill in your brows or to contour your face. I hope you enjoy your college years and make lots of memories that you can look back on fondly.

Remember you’re young, you’re beautiful and the whole world awaits! I hope this video was helpful and let me know in the comments if you have any questions, and I will try and answer as many as I can.

Thanks for watching and until next time, stay tuned, stay Glamrs! On the next episode on Makeup Basics with Maybelline New York, it’s time to groove your feet to the midnight beats!
