Hayat Inspired Look (Hair & Makeup Tutorial)

hey guys welcome back if you’re new here my name is Smitha welcome to my channel today’s video is a much requested one and I think you guys have been requesting it for more than a year now it’s going to be on this formal look of Hayat you’re obviously know Hayat and Murat from pyaar lafzon mein kahan or ask laftan anlamaz which is the Turkish original Hayat was in this look when Hayat and Murat do that dance after their wedding and she looked absolutely stunning in this green gown the hair is also stunning it’s casual yet formal so I’m going to be showing you the hair as well as makeup I’m going to be showing you how to get that fishtail winged liner so if you’re ready let’s get started and if you’re new here please take a moment to subscribe I post new videos every Tuesdays Thursdays and Sundays every time I do a Hayat inspired look I get a little nervous because she has amazing skin which not all of us are blessed with of course so let’s start with skin and try to perfect that as much as possible before we move on to the eyes on my lips I’m going to first start with a lip scrub I’m using the one from colourpop it is the lemon lippie scrub so I’m going to scrub my lips and apply some lip balm next to fill in all the pores and smooth out my skin I’m going to be using this satin makeup base from dermacol.

her base makeup looks flawless and natural but she still has the dimension so we will follow the reverse makeup technique today I’m going to first start with a concealer I’m going to be using the Milani concealer in 145 as you guys know this is my favorite concealer so I’m going to use this to conceal the dark circles dark patches do some spot correction before I get ready for the foundation and of course we need to add that depth and dimension too so I’m going to be cream contouring using the wet and wild contour stick in call me maple I have an entire video on reverse makeup technique if you want to check that out I’m going to link it right on top it’s a common practice in Hollywood as well as Bollywood to follow this technique of doing makeup in Reverse so you apply the concealer contour and then foundation over that just to get that natural finish especially on screen everything is enlarged you can see every little pore on the skin so you want the makeup to look very subtle and natural I’m going to quickly blend everything out before I move on to the foundation whenever you do reverse makeup try to use a foundation that has a light to medium coverage and I also want the foundation to be natural and dewy so I’m going to be using the fit me in dewy + smooth this is from Maybelline in the shade 210 the reason I recommend using a light to medium coverage foundation is because underneath you’ve created all the dimension using concealers and contours now if you use a full coverage foundation everything gets covered up and it’ll look flat but if you use a light to medium coverage foundation that dimension will still show through the foundation and that’s why it’s important to keep that in mind I’m going to quickly blend everything out and I’m using a little bit of concealer on my lids as well to even out the base before I apply any eye shadows and then using the airspun translucent loose powder I’m only very lightly going to set in areas where I used the concealer and I feel like the concealer might crease I don’t want to set the entire face because I don’t want it to look powdery or cakey I want it to look as natural as possible and then to set and seal my entire face I’m going to use the L’Oreal infallible setting spray.

Her eyebrows always look very natural so I’m going to keep mine looking as natural and as youthful as possible so for that I’m not going to be filling in too much just the sparse areas using the precisely my brows from benefit in 4.

5 I’m not filling in on top I’m just going to fill it at the bottom and only in sparse areas of course. our eyebrow shapes are quite different so my eyebrows are not going to look like hers and the point is not to look like her the point is to break down the makeup and show you how to do similar makeup I’m going to be using a neutral palette today this is bare necessities from colourpop.

first I’m going to be taking “in the buff” to lightly set my lid and the brush that I’m using is a flat powder brush from Milani her crease looked very lightly defined so I’m going to be using “hot gossip” with a focallure blending brush I’m going to lightly define the outer corner and the crease that’s pretty much it on the eyeshadows part now let’s focus on the main part of this eye makeup which is the fishtail liner and for that I’m going to be using the colourpop eyeliner in black as usual I’m going to just draw the wing and line my top lashline using this first in my lower waterline I’m going to use scandaleyes waterproof pencil from Rimmel this is a nude eye pencil and right underneath that I’m going to be using some black eye shadow with this angled brush from colourpop I’m going to start framing that liner and then in the outer edge I’m going to pull out a small wing now they call it a fishtail because it looks like a fishtail in the outer corner now you can also use a gel liner or a liquid liner to do this but the chances of those smudging is more than when you use an eyeshadow so I would recommend using an eyeshadow atleast to begin with and then slowly when you get use to it you can use a gel liner.

her lashes also looked very natural so I’m going to be using pixie kiss lashes these look very natural and then I’m going to finish up with a coat of mascara I’m using bad girl bang from Benefit Cosmetics she had a very light blush on so I’m going to be using the marble blush from ciate London this has a very light rose hue to it and that’s all I need and to add a little bit of brightness I’m going to be using champagne pop by Becca.

she had a light coral lip and for that I’m going to be using the velvet liquid lipstick from focallure in 6 and that’s it on the makeup let’s move on to the hair first I’m going to add some light texture to my hair by lightly curling it I’m using my remington straightener here you can also use a curler adding some texture to your hair helps you to easily work with your hair if your hair is super straight it can easily slip and make it very difficult to work with and always remember to use a heat protectant spray before you use any kind of heat on your hair I’ve used the CHI Iron Guard before I started using the straightener next I’m going to side part my hair because she had a side partition and then I’m going to loosely start twisting my hair on one side and as I twist I’m going to start joining a little bit of hair just to make the twist a little bit thicker and then I’m going to pin it in the back now she had several pins on her you can do that or you can just put a couple pins like me that’s totally your choice and then on the other side I’m going to pin my hair behind my years I’m just using regular bobby pins her hair looked pretty sleek so she either used a hairspray or mousse I personally like my hair to be a little bit more flowy so I’m going to be using this spray from tresemme the smooth and silky spray or you can also use a light oil on your hair to give a shine.

my beautiful earrings are from a local boutique here in San Francisco I’m going to link that in the description box below with all the other products that I’ve used today and here is the completed look.
