Hocus Pocus Mary Sanderson Makeup Tutorial | 31 Nights of Halloween | Freeform

Mary Sanderson is the quiet in the chaos of the Sanderson trio. And she’s always hyping the other girls up. But she’s most certainly the chaotic neutral of the bunch. Mary’s look is really unique in that she has really awesome hair.

Cause she was experimenting long before Instagram tutorials were a thing. So, let’s get into this glam Mary look. My contour and my foundation are already taken care of. Mary also has darker eye makeup on.

We’re not going to focus so much on the eyeshadow. And I did a little bit before just by myself. But instead, we’re going to blend the eyeliner up from the lash lines on the top and the bottom. Make sure that when you’re putting your liner on the bottom, stop at the midway point about your pupil, and that’s going to give the illusion of bigger, rounder eyes.

So, right now I’m just taking a little bit of black eyeshadow, and I’m putting it right above my lash line here. And then I’m just using a fluffy brush. Any fluffy brush will do. And I’m just blending it upwards, just a little bit, to create the illusion of a smokey eye.

I am also going to add faux eyelashes to amp up the drama because your girl loves drama. And you’re gonna try to get this as close to your lash line as possible. But you don’t want to take it too far into the corner of your eye.

So, Mary’s lips are just a true neutral shade of red. Mary has a beauty mark around her smile lines, and this is a really important feature of her face. So, after you’ve completed all of your face makeup, you can add this with just your liquid eyeliner, or if you want to be really fancy, you can use a dark colored crystal, and just apply it with your eyelash glue.

So, Mary’s hair is architectural. And to be honest, it’s a complete work of art. And you might be thinking, “Ain’t nobody got time for that.” And you’re right. So, what you can do is just create a simple updo or a top knot instead.

I really like flowers ’cause they’re a part of my aesthetic. So, I have lots of different flowers from my local craft store, and I’m just gonna put these in with some bobby pins to give that illusion of the purple that Mary has in her hair.

Thanks for watching my spin on Mary Sanderson. And don’t forget to watch 31 Nights of Halloween only on Freeform.
